AGENCY FOR ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF AFGHANISTAN (AADA)
AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations.
Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”.
In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.
Job Summary
- Knowledgeable of and upholds regulations, established hospital and section policies and procedures, objectives and health standards.
- Ensures that staff complies with existing laws, regulations, standards, policies and procedures set out by MOPH/AADA
- Develops annual plans, short term goals and objectives for the provincial hospital.
- Provide and manages annual expenditure budget and finances relating documents to the central office finance
- Ensure that health care services are delivered in a timely and customer oriented focus.
- Ensure that an effective Quality Improvement program is in place at the Provincial hospital.
- Collaborates with other senior health professionals in management to review, investigate, develop and/or implement the necessary systems, process improvements as they relate to health services delivery.
The Regional Hospital Director Job at AADA ( 4 Vacancies ) will have responsibilities that include:
- Ensures that a Mass Casualty response Plan is in place for the Provincial hospital.
- Ensures that Performance Appraisal Reports are completed in accordance with the Performance Management and Appraisal System for all categories of staff employed at the Provincial hospital.
- Manage, supervise and lead all categories of staff in accordance with MOPH and AADA Regulations.
- Conduct daily environmental rounds with management team to dialogue with staff and to ensure client’s satisfaction with services provided.
- Ensure proper stock management of food and sundries.( (چیزهای متفرقه
- Ensure proper stock management of pharmaceuticals.
- Manages the consumption/utilization of fuel, electricity, telephone and water.
- Ensures that an inventory system is in place for the PH.
- Coordinate the receipt of donations with PPHD/AADA main office.
- Ensure the internal and external hospital environment is maintained clean to promote a healthy environment.
- Ensures proper supervision and preventative maintenance of vehicle fleet, office equipment and physical structure of the hospital.
- Attends meetings, workshops, seminars to build capacity for efficient execution of duties and responsibilities for self and staff.
Job Requirment
Education: Master’s degree in public health (or a related field)
Experience: 5 years of experience managing health services delivery (or a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience). A Medical Degree or MSC in public health or medical field, is an advantage.
