AGENCY FOR ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF AFGHANISTAN (AADA)
AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations.
Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”.
In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.
Job Summary
- To assist program line managers, supervisors in the planning and implementing of project(s)
- To be fully aware from responsibilities of MOPH (GCMU, PPHD and technical departments) and AADA toward project implementation.
- To assure the HFs/HFs staff are chasing the QQC/M standards and vignettes as well as timely have community verification by provincial team
- To assure the sensitivities and nature of the TPM monitoring’s
- To follow standard reporting timelines as per project contract reporting formats and provides quality and timely reports to line supervisor.
- To ensure that all relevant staff are aware from project time schedule (as approved in the contract) and update his/her line supervisor on monthly basis;
- To ensure that relevant project/HF staff understand the standard operation procedure (AADA and MOPH) for implementation of pay for performance process.
- To closely monitor the performance of project key indicators versus targets on monthly basis and be make sure that effective action plans are developed to achieve project targets both at provincial office and HF level:
The PHC/SHC Manager/Lead Job at AADA ( 5 Vacancies ) will have responsibilities that include:
- To ensure that project meets MINIMUM STANDARDS as specified in the project contract;
- To ensure that BSC and NMC checklists are implemented in each HF once per quarter;
- To ensure that HMIS verification checklist is implemented once per month per HF;
- To conduct slide presentation to all sub office co-workers on policies, strategies and supervision system related to his/her field of expertise based on capacity building department developed orientation plans;
- To establish/maintain easy to access and meaningful filing system and record keeping;
- To establish and maintain tracking system of main activities for systematically measurement of the progress;
- To have good coordination with partners (governmental and non-governmental), participate in all coordination meetings with UN, NGOs and government agencies.
- To perform supervisory and monitoring visits from Health Facilities at least twice/month.
- To follow organization established policies, procedures and objectives;
- To identify and make decision to solve immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the project(s) objectives and provides report to his/her immediate supervisor.
- To conduct bi-weekly meetings with staff;
- To improve coordination among Technical manager, financial deputy project Director and operation department to achieve project objectives /indicators in most cost effective way;
- To submit accurate and quality reports to his/her supervisor;
- To perform any other official task assigned by line supervisor and Head Quarter team.
Job Requirment
Education: master’s degree in public health (or a related field)
Experience: 15 years of experience in health programmes management in developing countries
