AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations. Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”. In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. Job Summary

• To manage and control daily transport activities (drivers and all vehicles);
• To provide on time transportation facility for staff for official purposes;
• To develop daily/weekly transportation plan for field staff;
• To develop repairing and mentainance plan for all vehicles/ambulances including rental cars;
• To schedule and control the drivers’ monthly time table;
• To provide support to logistic department during bulk supplies to HFs;
• To ensure full functionality of all ambulances to avoid disarrangement of services delivery to patients;
• To coordinate for repairing and maintenance of rental cars with their owner(s);
• To manage/plan transportation facility during off days required during emergencies and other special circumstances.

The AADA Jobs in Herat, (Transport Assistant) will have responsibilities that include:

• To develop and follow vehicle lubricants  and changing of filters;
• To ensure availability of first aid boxes in all vehicles with close coordination of technical team;
• To conduct slide presentation to all sub office co-workers on policies, strategies and supervision system related to his/her field of expertise based on capacity building department developed orientation plans;
• To ensure proper setup and arrangement required for patient transportation;
• To manage vehicles fuel consumption and its cross checking with log books;
• To ensure that vehicles of the office are washed/ cleaned on regular bases by drivers;
• To develop control measuring to avoid any kind of vehicle misuse;
• To ensure that all the required standard equipment’s and accessories of the vehicles are in fully functional (jack, brakes, seat belts, loud horn, spare tire, and mirrors);
• To make sure that all vehicles registration books and licenses of the drivers are valid and up to date.

Job Requirment

• Graduate from 12th class Car mechanic is preferred.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience.
• Able to communicate in Dari, Pashto, interpret in English,
• Ability to effectively present information to the immediate supervisor.
