AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations. Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”. In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.

Job Summary

• officer has the overall responsibility of planning, implementing and monitoring staff capacity-building interventions in the province; 
• Conducting training need assessment (TNA) to identify the knowledge and skill gaps of staff and proposed training sessions to improve their capacity to provide quality services;  
• Keeps the training activities tracking sheet or data-based updated;
• Review existing training manuals, guidelines and training protocols and adapt training manuals, and guidelines if required.
• Prepares training materials in local languages and prepares training-related IEC materials such as posters, pamphlets and training booklets;
• Facilitates/co-facilitates technical training for staff;
• Conduct post-training follow-up to ensure the knowledge and skills gained in training sessions are applied during the service provision;

The AADA Jobs in Herat, (Capacity Building Officer) will have responsibilities that include:

• Coordinate with admin and logistics departments for preparation of training materials, training venue and circulating the invitation of trainees;
• Provides quality and timely reports to his/her supervisor;
• Performs any other official task assigned by the line supervisor.

Job Requirment

• Medical Doctor, graduated from a recognized medical faculty;
• At least 3 years of experience in related field is required;
• Fluency in written and spoken local language;
• Having skills in computer applications such as Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word.
• Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations;
• Knowledge of local environments;
